What happens when splitting water drops?

About 71 percent of the Earth's surface is covered with water and all living things are dependent on it. All chemical reactions of living beings take place in water and water is also essential for metabolism. The scientific community has been paying attention to what’s called microdroplets, which refers to water drops split into even tinier ones whose diameters are about 0.001 millimeter (mm) or 1 micrometer (μm).
