■ 작업 일시 및 내용

 

1. 일시 : 7월 25일(금) 09:00 ~ 7월 26일(토)

 

2. 작업 내용 :

● Olaf-c 계산 노드 펌웨어 업데이트

 펌웨어 문제로 인해 shutdown 되는 노드가 발생하고 있어,

 안정적인 클러스터 운영을 위해 Olaf-c 계산 노드 전체 펌웨어 업데이트를 진행합니다.

● 계산 노드 및 스토리지 시스템 shutdown

 

3. 추가 유지 관리 작업 :

● Slurm QoS 설정 변경

 large_cpu 파티션에 대해 그룹 별로 동시에 실행 중이거나 대기 중인 작업 수를 포함하여 최대 4개까지 제한됩니다.

 

 

■ Slurm 작업 중단 요청

정전 작업을 원할하게 진행하기 위해, 7월 25일(금) 09:00 전까지 진행 중인 모든 슬럼 작업을 미리 중단해주시기 바랍니다.

작업이 취소되지 않은 경우, 정전 시간에 맞춰 작업이 일괄적으로 취소될 수 있습니다. 양해 부탁 드립니다.

  

정전 이후 전력 복구와 시스템 안정화 확인을 거쳐 정상 운영 개시 일정은 별도 공지 드릴 예정입니다.

작업 일정에 참고 부탁 드리며 관련하여 궁금하신 사항은 회신 주시기 바랍니다.

Dear Users,

This is the Cluster Maintenance Office at the Institute for Basic Science (IBS).

 

Please be informed that the Olaf system will undergo a complete shutdown as outlined below. 

Kindly review the details and take necessary actions to prevent any disruption to your research.

 

■ Scheduled Maintenance Details

 

1. Date & Time : From 09:00 AM, Friday, July 25 to Saturday, July 26

 

2. Maintenance Scope :

● Firmware Upgrade for Olaf-c Compute Nodes

Some nodes have been shutting down due to firmware issues.

To ensure stable cluster operation, we will perform a full firmware update on all Olaf-c compute nodes.

● Complete Shutdown of Compute Nodes and Storage Systems

 

3. Additional Maintenance Tasks :

● Slurm QoS Configuration Update

For the large_cpu partition, the maximum number of jobs (including running and pending) per group will be limited to 4.

 

 

■ Slurm Job Termination Request

To ensure a smooth shutdown process, please terminate all running Slurm jobs by 09:00 AM, Friday, July 25.

Any jobs that remain active at that time may be forcefully canceled during the shutdown process. We appreciate your understanding.

 

The system will be brought back online after confirming power restoration and system stability. 

A separate notice will be sent out with the exact schedule for the resumption of normal service.
