1.Study the pathogenesis of novel variants of important viral pathogens: Novel virus identification, pathogenesis, virulence marker investigation. 2.Study of Disease-X and neglected tropical viral diseases including animal viruses: Characterize the pathogenic potentials, Interspecies transmission mechanisms. 3.Study of Vector-borne zoonotic viral diseases: mosquitoes and ticks tick mediated viral diseases 4.Study of novel control Technology: innovative diagnostic technology, Developments of novel platforms of therapeutics, and universal vaccines
