The Institute for Basic Science (IBS) is a national research institute established under Article 14 of the 「Special Act on the Establishment and Support of the International Science and Business Belt」. Its mission is to secure creative knowledge and fundamental technologies through world-class basic science research.
The Axion Dark Matter Group (DMAG), located at the KAIST Munji Campus in Daejeon, conducts advanced experimental research to search for axions, one of the most promising candidates for dark matter. Through innovative instrumentation and precision measurement techniques, DMAG aims to deepen our understanding of the universe and contribute to the global effort in unveiling the nature of dark matter.
