IBS Hosts International Conference on Neural and Glial Function- World Experts in Neuroscience Gathering at IBS, October 26-27 - The Institute for Basic Science (IBS, President NOH Do Young) is organizing a conference inviting top domestic and international experts in the field of brain and neuroscience. Co-hosted by the Center for Synaptic Brain Dysfunctions (Director KIM Eunjoon), the Center for Neuroscience Imaging Research (Director KIM Seong-Gi), and the Center for Cognition and Sociality (Director C Justin Lee), the "IBS Conference on Neuronal and Glial Functions" will take place from October 26 to 27 at the IBS Science Culture Center in Daejeon. IBS has been organizing IBS Conferences since 2013 to strengthen its global research collaboration network and establish a foundation for producing high-quality research. The 49th edition of the IBS conference aims to bring together influential figures and world-renowned scholars from various fields of brain and neuroscience to enhance international research collaboration. The conference features over 20 distinguished speakers, including Yang DAN (UC Berkeley), Benjamin DENEEN (Baylor College of Medicine), and Michael MILHAM (Child Mind Institute). They will share the latest research on the functions of neurons and glial cells, covering topics such as brain development and mental disorders, the impact of traumatic stress on the brain, and the connection between autism genes and brain behavior. The event aims to facilitate the exchange of the latest trends in brain neuroscience and related field information, fostering new collaborative research areas.
