On the 27th, Henrietta HOWELLS, Senior Editor of the world-renowned scientific journal 'Nature Neuroscience', a sister journal of 'Nature' and an authority in the field of cognitive and neuroscience, visited the Institute for Basic Science (IBS) Center for Cognition and Sociality.

Henrietta Howells joined Nature Neuroscience in 2024 after serving as Senior Editor at Nature Communications. Before her editorial career, she conducted research at the University of Milan, integrating neuroimaging and brain stimulation to study various cognitive functions. Her interests span system and network neuroscience as well as cognitive neuroscience research.

On the day of the visit, Director C Justin Lee of the Center for Cognition and Sociality welcomed Senior Editor Howells and introduced her to the center's experimental facilities and equipment. Following the tour, Howells engaged in discussions with key researchers such as LEE Boyoung and PARK Joomin about submitting research findings to the journal.

After the meetings, Howells had lunch with postdoctoral and student researchers, where she shared candid insights about her career and life as a science journal editor. She also offered valuable advice on how young researchers can submit papers to scientific journals.
