Department | Center for Quantum Nanoscience |
---|---|
Work Duties |
1. Achieving full control of the quantum state of atoms and molecules on surfaces and near interfaces to enable the use of such quantum systems as high-sensitivity quantum sensors 2. Developing a theoretical framework for how quantum properties of atoms and molecules change from the gas phase to solid-state environment and how they interact with electrons 3. Demonstrating the use of single atoms and molecules as quantum bits for quantum computation applications 4. Investigating and understanding the transition from coherent quantum to classical systems |
